WHO IS REBUILD PARADISE FOUNDATION

The Rebuild Paradise Foundation, incubated through the North Valley Community Foundation, is a grassroots movement of Camp Fire survivors and community leaders from the public and private sectors who are dedicated to serving the long-term needs of Butte County's disaster affected residents, businesses and workforce. Founded by Charles Brooks in January of 2019 under the mentorship of Rebuild Northbay Foundation, we have established this non-profit foundation to provide access to resources and to help lower barriers to entry for those repopulating the disaster affected areas. The Rebuild Paradise Foundation is proud to partner with other non-profits, corporate donors, private donors and government agencies to accomplish our mission.

Have you heard of the “OUR FUTURE IS BRIGHT” project? To mark the 5th anniversary of the Camp Fire, RPF plans to honor community growth by creating a sunset-themed tile mural at a local park. This mural will feature handprints, ages, and initials of over 2,500 children living in the Camp Fire-affected area. The mural will serve as a permanent tribute to the strength and unity of our community and a reminder that our kids have a bright future here on the Ridge. This project consists of multiple phases, with the handprint collection phase currently underway and the construction of the wall display scheduled for early 2024.

Want to be a part of this inspiring project? We’re on the lookout for licensed professionals to help us construct a cinderblock wall in Spring of 2024, any donation of materials, as well as any monetary sponsorships to support our cause. Your generosity won’t go unnoticed; contributions of $100 or more will ensure your name is forever etched on the commemorative handprint mural.
You can contribute either by sending a check through the mail at Rebuild Paradise Foundation, 6067 Skyway Suite B, Paradise CA 95969. Or making a donation via Venmo @Rebuildparadisefoundation VENMOLet’s come together and make a difference in our community’s journey!

AREAS OF IMPACT

residents

RESIDENTS

Residents are the key to rebuilding. Through resources and grants, we will attract, retain and incentivize the repopulation of residents to Butte County’s disaster affected areas. For economic recovery, getting residents back into homes is an immediate and primary focus of Rebuild Paradise Foundation.

BUSINESSES

To support economic viability in our community, we wish to retain and incentivize the opening and reopening of businesses in Butte County disaster affected areas. We will do so through dissemination of information and are currently exploring grant opportunities to support businesses in disaster areas in commercial zones.

WORKFORCE

With jobs being in great demand before the fire, it is now vitally important to help support the return and growth of workforce development. Over time we will advocate for, provide support and collaborate with partner agencies actively involved in supporting workforce development.

ADVOCACY

Utilizing our partnerships with collaborative organizations, we will leverage private sector knowledge and resources to assist in areas of need that have identified. In our advocacy efforts, we will foster meetings between all parties and make sure the community’s voice is heard at the local, state and federal level.
